Another Covid-19 Update
Dear soccer families,
First & foremost, we hope that all your families are healthy and secure. Our biggest concern during this unexpected season has been for the welfare of our community.
It has been two weeks since our last announcement regarding the spring recreational season, and we owe you an update.
We continue to follow MN Department of Health and US Soccer recommendations on how to proceed with our activities. In alignment with the Twin Cities Soccer League, which our competitive teams play in, we are still planning for a rec soccer season to commence approximately 3 weeks after Governor Walz' stay home MN order is lifted. That provides us with enough time to coordinate equipment and setup fields for play. We are also working with the city to verify that they will be reopening the parks when the state restriction is lifted. Our local government partner is critical to our ability to prepare.
We have discussed the situation with Eagan for our 11-13 year old collaboration, and they are still planning to begin around mid-May, because Eagan fields are unavailable for use in July. If their start date is pushed back to June, they are anticipating an abbreviated season.
